we have a rough one,
a nefarious one,
indeed.
HERstory
no piece of it,
they’d want to hear.
they’d rather
repeat
HIStory.
and maintain american dominance.
because america
is the name, the heart
of man.
you can’t spell america without man after all.
perhaps that’s why we call it HIStory.
i loathe it.
i loathe the future i envision for my children,
who, like the rest of us,
will have to stay silent with duct tape over their mouths,
that is put there
by american dominance.
