Only Moments

Earth is not a flawless land

Planted with the stories of human lives well-told

Each speck of green evidence

Each horizon more than fantasy

It is a doorway

Leading to pockets of perfect universes

Touchable

Only by the dreams

We wish were memories

And lullabies

We sing in darkness

Asking for permission to slip through

The gates one more time
